Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is constituent of department and broadly works for:
Imparting training on use of ICT in teaching-learning process for Science stream and Arts stream lecturers of HP Higher Education department.
Capacity building in ICT for lecturers of all streams in the State at National level like, NCERT, RIE Ajmer etc.
Provide ICT support for all IN-service training programme conducting in SCERT.
Development of SCERT website.
Collaborate with DIETs and Samagra Shiksha in the State.
DIKSHA
DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) is a national platform for school education, an initiative of National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), under the aegis of the Ministry of Education (MoE), GoI. Launched in 2017 by Honourable Vice President of India – Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, DIKSHA has been adopted by almost all the States, Union Territories, central autonomous bodies/boards including CBSE. DIKSHA was developed on the basis of the Strategy and Approach Paper for the National Teacher Platform released by the then Honourable Minister for Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javdekar in September, 2017. DIKSHA can be accessed by learners and teachers across the country and currently supports 36 Indian languages. Each State/UT leverages the DIKSHA platform in its own way, as it has the freedom and choice to use the varied capabilities and solutions of the platform to design and run programs for teachers, learners and administrators. DIKSHA policies and tools make it possible for the education ecosystem (educationist, experts, organisations, institutions - government, autonomous institutions, non-govt. and private organisations) to participate, contribute and leverage a common platform to achieve learning goals at scale for the country. NCERT Textbooks are licenced under CC BY NC-ND and all the resources are licenced under CC BY NC-SA. Under the PM eVidya initiative of the GoI, which was declared as part of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat, DIKSHA has been declared as ‘One Nation, One Digital Platform’.
SCERT has uploaded about 150 eTextbooks on DIKSHA and also mapped about 3000 eContent/resources.
NISHTHA
National Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 states that "Teachers truly shape the future of our children and therefore, the future of our Nation. The motivation and empowerment of teachers is required to ensure the best possible future of our children and nation”. As per the recommendation of NEP 2020, every teacher and head teacher is expected to participate in at least 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities every year for their own professional development, driven by their own interests. CPD opportunities will, in particular, systematically cover the latest pedagogies regarding foundational literacy and numeracy, formative and adaptive assessment of learning outcomes, competency-based learning, and related pedagogies, such as experiential learning, arts-integrated, sports-integrated, and storytelling-based approaches, etc. To realize the vision of NEP-2020, recently NCERT under the aegies of Ministry of Education (MoE), Department of School Education and Literacy (DSE&L), Govt. of India. In collaboration with States / UTs and autonomous bodies under MoE, MoD and MoTA (CBSE, KVS, NVS, CTSA, AEES, Sainik School, CICSE, EMRS - NESTS etc.) have initiated the NISHTHA integrated training programme 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 online for different stages of school education - Teachers, Head Teachers/Principals and other stakeholders in Educational Management and Administration.

PMeVIDYA
The Government of India has launched the PM eVIDYA program. Under this scheme, the top hundred universities in the country will start educating students through online education after 30th May 2020. There are many students throughout the country who do not have access to the internet. For all those students Swayam Prabha DTH channel will be launched to provide education. The government will also launch more similar channels under this scheme. Other than that a Diksha platform will also be launched which will involve e-content and QR code energized books for all the classes.
PM eVIDYA will also be called a one Nation digital platform. Other than that a TV channel called one class one channel will also be launched for students who are studying in class 1st to 12th. For visually and hearing impaired students the government will also do radio podcasts. All the essential steps will be taken by the government so that the education of students does not suffer due to the nationwide lockdown.
Vidyanjali
Vidyanjali is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Education, Government of India with the aim to strengthen Schools through community and private sector involvement in schools across the country. This initiative would connect schools with varied volunteers from the Indian Diaspora namely, young professionals, retired teachers, retired Government officials, retired professionals, NGOs, Private Sector and Public Sector Companies, Corporate Institutions and many others.
Vidyanjali has two verticals: “Participate in school Service/Activity” and “Contribute Assets/Material/Equipment” in which volunteer can support and strengthen the government and government aided schools.
