The library of this institute was established in 1953. There are about 20000 valuable books on different subjects available in the library. There are about twelve hundred reference books and more than one hundred books in this library that are rarely available anywhere else. The library of the institute has books on General Knowledge, books related to Government Rules, Political Science, Education, Art, Language, Literature and History. Other than these there are books available in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu and Punjabi Literature. NCERT books from Class I to X that have been adopted by Himachal Pradesh Board are also available in the library. The library has subscribed six daily newspapers; 2 English and 4 Hindi. English and Hindi Journals are received from NCERT including:
